I know it's not the normal attire you'd find in a gym---but it's finally warm enough 49 above---that I've ditched the warm boots and smart wool socks. I've lived (and slept in) in base layers, socks and a cap. Yes, a cap.
We are spending the day watching basketball, so updating the blog is my creative endeavor for the day. I'll be sharing ideas of how to squeeze in creativity in the midst of accelerated living. I truly enjoy sharing, I do not louvre the tiny type pad.
It seems the busier my day is, the more I crave creative expression. I'm curious, what ways do you nourish and make time for activities that feed your soul? Please share on the comment section below.
I so wish there were more hours in the day to feed my need to create. Sometimes all I get are 10 minutes to see what's new on Pinterest. Every other week I gather with a group of gals for quilting and gossip. It's a great dynamic of women ranging in age from 28-95. It's fun to see what new projects everyone is working on and get help on my projects from the wealth of experience that surround me. Lately though, I've been driving my creative force into my annual holiday baking. I'll complete some 60+ dozen cookies and treats to which my greatest payoff will be seeing everyone enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteI hear ya! I have such a creative drive and am expanding my thoughts to include more space in my day for what I love, not what I have to do or should do. This sounds like a WONDERFUL group! I love the dynamics, ages and creative exchanges--how refreshing and supportive. I'm a fun of your holiday baking, I just wish we lived closer so I could taste test ;) Thanks for sharing!
